About St. Joseph Medical Center

Quality is our focus at SJMC

Everyone St. Joseph Medical Center, doctors, nurses and staff, focuses on quality first. Patient safety and patient satisfaction play integral roles in how we provide top-quality care.

St. Joseph Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ by demonstrating compliance with national standards for healthcare quality and safety.

Seeking accreditation by The Joint Commission demonstrates our commitment to our patients and the community and is another step toward achieving excellence. Meeting national standards stimulates continuous, systematic and organization-wide improvement in performance and the outcomes of care.

The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation at St. Joseph Medical Center in summer 2006. The accreditation award recognizes the dedication to complying with The Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art standards on a continuous basis.

Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit organization, is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare.
