A New Look For SJMC

About St. Joseph Medical Center

New look, same compassionate service.

A new look for Houston's first...
We gathered physicians, nurses and other associates of St. Joseph Medical Center to examine our history and help us determine a look for the future.

We listened to what was important to them: our past, our community, Houston, Texas, and tradition, to name a few. Then we developed the logo you see here.

The foundation of our logo is a diamond, representing the four core values of our hospital: Caring. Compassion. Quality. Community.

Over this background is a cross - both an acknowledgment of our heritage and an international symbol of health care service.
And over this cross we placed a star - the Texas star. We are proud of our history as Houston's first hospital in this great state of Texas.

And, finally the color blue, which is a reflection of the prior logo of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate World, the Catholic order that founded our facility, symbolizes vigilance and perseverance.

At St. Joseph Medidal Center, we are very proud of the hospital's history, and even more excited about its future
