Breathing New Life in to Houston’s firstAt the end of the first quarter of operations as an affiliate of Hospital Partners of America, St. Joseph Medical Center has reported a profit of nearly $8 million. “We have saved Houston’s first hospital. We have saved the jobs of 1,500 employees, we have made significant progress in positioning St. Joseph Medical Center as the convenient alternative to the Medical Center, and we have paid a dividend to our physician partners,” said Phillip D. Robinson, CEO at St. Joseph Medical Center and Senior Vice President of Texas Operations for HPA, “It’s a great beginning!”
